What wood is used for OLA Cycle toothbrushes and cotton swabs?

We use red maple (Acer Rubrum) for the OLA Cycle line, commonly called Plaine. This is a great way to recycle waste and be even more ecological!Is the use of red maple as ecological as that of bamboo?Yes, we are very proud to have thought of the creation of our OLA Cycle line so that it is 100% circular economy! Using scraps from the manufacturing industry makes that full circle complete. We currently have an agreement with a factory that makes guitars in Quebec. We buy pieces that would have been a waste to them and transform them into fantastic household products you need. It's a great way to give a second life to wood that could still be used but is too small for a guitar; it's a win-win!

Do OLA Cycle toothbrushes and cotton swabs encourage deforestation?

No, because we use scraps from the manufacturing industry. We give a second life to pieces that are unusable by other industries because of their size but are perfect for making toothbrushes or cotton swabs.

OLA Cycle is a new line of ecological products made from Canadian wood that encourages a circular economy. These products are designed, manufactured and sold by the OLA Bamboo team.

My OLA Cycle toothbrushes have some irregularities, is it normal?

Yes, absolutely! It is a reaction of maple wood at the cut of our machinery. It is only little burns on the wood. For us, this adds more personality at OLA Cycle toothbrushes. Each one of them is unique!

Once your toothbrush has reached the end of its lifespan (it should be changed every 3–4 months) simply pull out the bristles using pliers or break the head before putting the handle in the compost. The rest goes in the trash. You can also reuse the handle as a stake to support a plant, identify your plants in the garden or start your campfire. Give free rein to your imagination.
